Battery drains

Asked by Imnotamechanic Mar 16, 2016 at 05:48 PM about the 2001 Acura CL 3.2 Type-S FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I bought my son a 2001 Acurs CL and I have been through 2 batteries over
the last 8 months. Everything seems to be fine the all of a sudden it won't
start or even click like it's trying to start. Some other reviews I looked at said
the HFL causes that. This car does not have that option. It has controls for the
radio on the steering wheel but that is about it.  Any suggestions would be
very very appreciated!

Well, something is sucking the life out of your battery or it is not getting the proper charge from the alternator. If you don't drive with added electronics that gobble up current like aftermarket audio systems, I would look to having your alternator checked out.
