Landrover discovery

Asked by Philipina Apr 10, 2018 at 09:52 AM about the 1997 Land Rover Discovery 4 Dr SD AWD SUV

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Doesnt want to start..the ignition
was turned on for to long..without
enjin running

1 Answer

In older cars, if the breaker points were closed, and the ignition left on, an aged coil would overheat and degrade it's performance to the point that not sufficient spark was available to get ignition in the cylinders. In this case, replacing the old coil would solve the problem.
