The car needs to be running, in park or neutral, up on a hoist, and up to operating temperature. on the tranny there is a fill and drain plug. drain plug is on bottom of pan (of course) you need to open the fill plug on the side of the tranny, 8mm allen bolt if i remember correctly. there should be a thin stream of fluid pouring out. that is correct level, add until a thin stream pours out. short answer - take it to a mechanic because manufacturers, engineered a stupid method to create job security at the stealerships.
