Steering column squeaks while turning the steering wheel

My steering column squeaks while turning the steering wheel, can I just lubricate it and if so....where?

yes thru the gap between steering wheel and /turn signal/column under the dash and under the hood just follow the shaft and spray away...i have one also and have done everthing i can do but it stll comes back every once in a while..
