How to open a rear door with broken latch

2 Answers

something actually broke...as in two pieces, or perhaps a quality British made fastener decided to stop fastening...in any case you gotta get in there and find out which spring broke, and to do that you'll have gain access by removing the hardboard panel, couple of phillips screws and using a long knife separate the hardboard from the steel, a couple of plastic fasteners may need coaxing with a needlenose but should be able to tell the score...let us know if you have trouble dealing with the complexity...take pictures and post them for us..
