2001 GMC Jimmy rough idle once warm

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hi everyone, I have a 2001 GMC Jimmy with the
4.3. Has 155k miles, I had this car for a little and
bought it as a fixer upper. Needed a radiator so I
got a new radiator, water pump, and thermostat for
it. Ran amazing, then the only other problem was
that the fuel gauge didn’t work. So I went ahead
and replaced the sending unit and fuel pump. Still
ran good but the only driving I did after that was
move it around the garage because I was
preparing it for paint. I painted the car and then
took it to work the next day. Drove it about 15 mins
and about 10 miles and then it all went down hill.
The car start to stutter and wouldn’t not want to
run right and wanted to die. Got to a stop sign and
it did just that. I was able to limp it to work and
once I got it there I parked it. I started chasing the
problem and just started replacing stuff. I did the
spider injectors with the fuel pressure regulator
too, new cap and rotor, new MAF, new coolant
temp sensor, new O2 sensors, and new gaskets
for it all. Still no change, so I went back and
checked over everything with the fuel pump and
sending unit because that’s the only thing that
changed. Still nothing, this problem happens like
clock work, running like normal cold and as soon
as the engine temp needle hits the first solid line
which would be about 155 degrees, boom, it runs
like crap. I’m at a loss now and I need some help.

I had the same problems and I replaced the catalog converter and it stopped barely running once the engine got warm.
