Do you remember receiving a recall notice from Toyota concerning faulty window master switches?

No I just got the car 2 years ago and this was the only problem, I figured if I could get answers I could fix it myself instead of pay the dealership a arm and leg

Recall repairs at the dealership are FREE. You might consider a call to a toyota dealer......give them your vehicle ID #....and ask how many outstanding recalls are listed for your vehicle. Also ask if a power window Master Switch is one of those recalls.
