Question type: Maintenance & Repair

All lights work except headlights. Would a bad switch keep the interior lights on all
the time???? I have since taken all the interior bulbs out. I have just replaced the Shift
cable. The fellow I got the truck from said the headlights were working when he pulled the
old shift cable out. Any possibility that  the removal could cause this type of problem???

If the headlight switch is located on one of the steering column stalks then yes the headlight switch wires could have been chaffed while removing or installing the new shift cable and the chaffing is causing a short.
