Question type: Maintenance & Repair

About 4 months ago I let a family
member ude my van. They ran out off
gas. So when I arrived, I put gas n it n
it wouldn't start. It would turn over but
putted like maybe it was bad gas or
like it was running out of gas. 4
months later it still sounds like that n
now the sound is worse. Any
suggestions?

Fuel pump was internally damaged the pump is lubricated and cooled by pumping fuel through it. W/o fuel the pump overheats the pump section that Is. Replace the pump cartridge assembly USE OEM PARTS aftermarket are cheaper, but lack performance that your vehicle requires. Oh filter is inside the tank and not user serviceable.
