the fuse box in the dash is just to the left of the steering column the cover says fuses

uhhh no its not ,there is no fuse panel on a 2006-07, on the left side of the steering column, and your suppose to know your stuff

Its behind the air cleaner, looks like a flat black box.

I am having trouble with the cigarette lighter not working. The fuse panel on the left side of the dash but I can find the fuse for the cigarette lighter. Is the fuse for the cigarette lighter fuse in the fuse box under the air cleaner and who should I take it to have the other power socket installed.

The 2006+ cruiser don't have an interior fuse box. The last cruiser to have that was 2005. Everything is in the IPM (Integrated Power Module) that's in the engine compartment. The whole electronic system was changed in 2006 to the CAN- BUS system which isn't easy to work on. Do you have an owners manual? That will give you the layout of all the things inside the IPM. Here's the rundown of all the things inside the IPM. The IPM itself....

I need to know why my windshield wipers will not go on and off with my switch the only way I can turn them off is going under the hood unplugging the motor. I shouldn't have to do that what's the problem do anybody know?
