Scion Xb dash lights check engine VSC Trac Control

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My dash lights came on. My mechanic advised I
use 93 octane gas instead of 87 to cure this
problem. I trust him, but my research doesn't
support that. What to do. 2006 Scion Xb, 75k
miles.

Same issue with our ‘06 xB. We’ve had different opinions from different mechanics. The last one said it would be like a $2200 fix! Not sure what to trust. My husband has replaced a couple of sensors hoping that would help but has not. Have you found a fix???
