have a Honda CR-V 2007 wont start,has newer battery and doesn't want to shift into Neutral, or when shifted into Neutral it wont start, and the car wont move when pushed.

make sure the batt. terminals are clean and tight , check any main fuses or links , Are you sure the batt is charged ? There may be a starter relay

you can remove the shift lock cover by your shifter and push it down with a key or small screwdriver and you should be able to put it in neutral

Mark, thanks I tried that and moved the the shiftier to Neutral, i could attempt to start the car but got the same results as in Park, ,no turn over. but the car wouldn't move if pushed. Also when i try to start I notice the gear indicator on the dash has a the Park light up in red, and the Drive light up in green.

it probably won't start in neutral , sounds like it doesn't know it's in park in order to start , there's a solenoid that'll let you shift when brake applied , one thing at a time

My honda 2007 crv won start, new battery.im thinking it may be a ground wire...please help.
