Transmission swap, SOHC to DOHC

I have a '95 SC1 SOHC, can I put a transmission from a '99 S-Series DOHC in it, they are both automatics

Won't work.Gears in trans are diffident.Your computer will have a fit and then it will show codes and drive in first gear only. Sorry.

I tried that in my car and it didn't work, and I was told by a mechanic that they have different gut than the single cam.
