2007 Sebring turning on but will turn off shortly after.

Asked by Bireca Oct 03, 2019 at 04:38 AM about the 2007 Chrysler Sebring Touring Sedan FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My Sebring will turn on but shortly after will turn off. Once that happens, I
have to wait for a little and try again. Sometimes it will start up on the first try,
sometimes it takes 2 or more times until it starts. At times after trying over
and over, it won't even turn over. When the key is in the on position, the dash
will show a red dot flashing, a lightning bolt with backward parentheses, and
an oil lamp. The lightning bolt and oil lamp light will stay on but eventually
disappears, but the red dot stays on until I shut the car off. Any ideas?

Ed92626. I did get a code about the key. Off the bat I dont remember the exact word but it started with an I. Today I have been manually unlocking the door instead of using the keypad. It started up after 2 tries before work and during my lunch break but only once when I left for work.
