2006 Hyundai Tiburon 6 speed transmission problems

Asked by Mike Sep 19, 2018 at 06:54 PM about the 2006 Hyundai Tiburon SE FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2006 Hyundai Tiburon SE V6 6 speed, and
when I'm driving it the transmission revs up real
high then goes back down when and while I press
the gas hard to get up to speed. It also does this
when I shift gears and press hard on the gas. It
does this in every gear also and doesnt stop until it
I let off the gas. It also idles high around 2000
rpms sometimes and it does this when I'm sitting
still and idles higher than normal as I'm driving. It's
started doing this first and now it revs up really
high as I press on the gas kinda hard now too. Can
anyone please tell how to fix this or what the
problems are? I really love my car and dont want to
tear it up, so can someone please help me before
something bad happens to it? Thank u.....
