That actually is a fair price, if the car has no hidden faults.
Give it a last push and get the car. 1.8T is a solid engine that will serve you good, but keep in mind 2 things: regular inspection and no redline driving, while the engine is cold.
For being a 'smart' turbo, you can really kill it if you step on it, while not being in working temperature.
Other than that, its a solid performer. Oh and the roof will give you headache after 2-3 years, but once you re-do it, it will last another 4-5.

The price is good, the engine is very good. The stock version bumps out 150hp but this could be increased for no more than a grand. Replacing the downpipe and adding a new ECU ( I think ABT has a premade solution ) will boost its horsepower up to 210hp. As this will lead to problems with the stock blow off, you have to purchase one that is made for an TT, it is cheap and will hold on.
Even with a weak chassis I think the car will serve you well as chassis durability is important for countries like Uganda, Malaysia and Bulgaria.
