Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 05 rx8, just had a new cat put in. The place
that put it in says it didn't start when towed in. Tried
to start it and seemed maybe engine was flooded. I
tried all the ways to de flood. Still not starting and
backfiring... Please any suggestions

Everybody knows the RX8 flooding problems.. Make sure you're using the correct Flooded start procedure... pedal to the floor, As a final attempt you can try removing the fuel pump fuse, remove the spark plugs crank it after its clear, might as well install fresh plugs. Check the forums these engines are DONE at 80,000-100,000 miles
