2001 Cabrio running problems

2001 vw Cabrio will start and run for about a min. and stall. this is what we did
so far replaced coil 3 times, ignition, disable alarm, replace computer, fixed the
door lock. this car was on the way home from the body shop and never made it
home. that was over a month ago. don't  know what to try next. it just loses
spark and dies. no clue.

ok update. the car is still dead, what we found out is that it will start and die almost as fast as it starts we think its the rpm sensor but the problem we are having is that the computer will not talk to the ecu for the engine but will talk to the trans the abs and airbags. not sure if the sensor would do that? i don't want to replace parts that I'm not 100% sure is bad would feel a lot better if the computer was talking to the ecu. any thoughts out there would be great
