What is this in my car? Wasn't here before

This black box /type thing is in the empty space
that was underneath my radio / cup holders and
was empty as of the last time I talked a couple
days ago to a week ago there's a big empty space
now there's is lacking that strapped in almost all
the way to the end of it... What is it and how did it
get there?
