Is the parts from a 1985 toyota corolla interchangeable with a 1989 toyota corolla

Some parts yes, others no. The Corolla went to 6th Generation in 1987. The E90 chassis is different than the E80 ('83 - '87) and was changed in mid year production. So your question is difficult to answer without knowing specifically what part
