I'm unable to lock my car with the key and unable to unlock the truck with the key and unlock the truck with the truck latch on the console

DO you have the equivalent of "OnStar" to get into the car ? Do you have the wrong key or did the dealership cut the key incorrectly ? Is the "chip" in the key. not programmed correctly to allow entrance to the auto ?
