I have a 1997 c230 mb,,, the car cranks but only kinda half way. They have tested everything. Now they tell me that it's the key Is it possible for a bad key to cause me car to crank but not start

1997 c230----  replaced cam sensor ,,, did not help,, cram sensor ,,, tried a new ecm..

Yup the computer chip in your key is damage and not communicating with the car ecu also called drive hautorisation needs a new key
