Engine not running properly

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I'm buying a 2003 camry w/4 cyl. When he started it I was
impressed no smoke, no engine knocks, although when I
tried revving it a little it seemed to not want to revving up
smoothly. Once it struggled pass 4-5 thousand RPM then
it seemed fine. I have fully paid for it. Any thoughts?
