Chevy Cavalier clunk noise going into drive or reverse

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a chevy cavalier that clinks when going into
drive or reverse.  Was wondering what it could be?
The transmission mount does have some play in it
and the axles dont look like they are seated all the
way in.

My first thought was check halfshaft joints. What you posted about motor mounts and axles, good ideas, check those.

I kind of thought that as there is a bit play when you grab the tire and spin while the vehicle is in the air. You kind of see the transmission and engine rock back and forth. The mount is new and so are the axles. I feel like maybe I didnt put them on correctly.
