check engine light

Asked by harandrust1500 Apr 07, 2017 at 09:33 AM about the 2006 Dodge RAM 1500 SLT Quad Cab 4WD

i revved the engine the other day while it was still moving. I went to go start it
yesterday and the check engine light came on it has never done this before.
can anyone help me out?

Just go to an auto parts store to get the trouble codes read with a scanner. Write them down and post them back here.

This truck will sometimes set the MIL light from what you did because of a small vacuum leak on the evaporative emissions system. When you have the code revealed and cleared you will have a belter idea of what it is or isn't. Find out what it is before you start throwing parts at it.
