fuel guage not working

i just installed a new fuel pump in my 2005 dodge ram and now the fuel guage
reads empty and the low fuel light stays on , i reset the odometer settings and
nothing happened ,how do i reset the fuel guage ?or make it work ?

On my 1999 the fuel gauge is part of the fuel pump. Had yo replace it again to fix the gauge.
