If it's flooded, hold the gas pedal to the floor to let air into the engine. Have there any other starting problems lately? Could be an ignition failure or it's just cold.

Whenever you can smell gasoline coming from your engine compartment, always be careful. There is a risk of fire.

Go here and take a look for your problem, these are good for a fact, it's probably the canister or purge valve but real hard to explain so this site does a good job of explaining, http://trutechautoservice.com/confirmed-fixes-for-dodge-trucks.html Also, use this diagram and start sniffing around the canister to start.

Check into your purge solenoid and your throttle has little to do with much, it's electronic this is not the1970s for carburetors now the gas pedal only tells the PCM how much gas to add that's it and nothing else.
