battery light runs on the low side of normal then at the same time needle goes to zero and check gauge light comes on ram 1500 2004

Should have the charging system checked, may be a bad alternator. You can have it done at an auto parts store.

If you have a digital multi meter, check at the battery with the engine running, there should be 14 to 14.7 DCV if the alternator is working. Rev the engine up also to see if it holds the proper voltage.
