Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Problem started by getting stuck in park. Now it's
like the cable isn't moving freely through its

There is a shift interlock solenoid that probably caused the problem. Usually a wire may break off or just bad. The break light switch is tied into this system also. That has to be working in-order to be able to move the shifter.

I have a 2007 ram 4wd 1500 shifter moves but won't come out of park. Got out of park but can't put back into park or any other gear. Any ideas?
