OIl pressure drop

My oil pressure drops randomly and makes a
ticking noise every now and then. I tried
adding a little oil and still same problems,
Amy suggestions on what the problem might
be?

With an 18 year old engine, it could be several issues. When was the last oil change? The ticking noise indicates you actually DO have an oil pressure problem. The engine may have excessive sludge inside. This can cause the oil to build in the top of the engine, causing the oil sump to be empty. When this happens, the oil pressure drops until the oil returns to the sump. You should pull a valve cove to check the condition. Either way, you should find out what is causing it, low oil pressure can ruin the engine.
