Just had a 60000 mile rebuild put in my 01 Dodge Ram Sport 4x4 with the 318...tranny shifts smooth but will not go into OD...tried the button on the shifter abd it does nothing.

will not shift into overdrive...push button doesnt work either...shifts manually and automatically fine then at 55 mph it runs around 2400 rpm...and help would be appreciated

I had it scanned yesterday and everything is working as it should except the thermostat sensor....it was reading -9. Is this a sensor that is easy ti replace?

So I dont have to drop the tranny pan?...the mechanic I went to said that you have to drop the tranny pan to get to it

according to the scan it is the tranny temp sensor which is making it not shift into OD...But they dont know when they look it up what part it is and I cant find a picture online

Just talked to a Mopar Expert that said it is a combination temp/govenor solenoid and easy fix
