Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When you press the A/C button on the dashboard the compressor doe not come on. When I put a jumper on the MG Relay the compressor runs and cold air comes out. It works great. SO what turns on the Relay? Is this a computer issue?

I replaced the relay but the compressor still does not come on. I know whatever turns on the relay is the problem.

maybe low refrigerant , low pressure in system, leak or ac control module in dash.

i have a simuliar problem it is truly intermittent because the a/c works correctly must of the time but occationally the fans quit working then pressure builds till either you shut down the engine or the pressure relief will blow off for a few seconds i have replaced the fan no relay seven times each time it seems to fix the problem but it will eventually cause this relay to stick and the a/c start feelingwarm then the temp guage starts to get hot then the compressor starts cycling on and off i changed the low pressure switch. all 3 relays several times i cant find any loss or bad grounds i am stumped any suggestions i am a ex tech with some a/c credentials but i am at a loss with this joint gm toyota venture please help
