Truck won't turn over or do anything when I turn the Ignition

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have recently replaced the bottom end of my motor, since I spun a bearing on the old one, and now it won’t even try to turn the motor over. It is a 1995 dodge sport 4X4 with the 5.9 (360) in it. All of the wires and hoses went back together and everything looks pretty good. Any idea on what I should be looking for?

does it click and no turn over? or absolutely nothing? and what did you replace on the bottom end?

It wasn't doing anything at all almost like the neutral safety switch wasn't working. I checked the starting curcuit out and everything tested out. I got a starter with the new motor, so I put that on and tried it and it fired up. I think I had a bad starter. My new question is that the truck won't idle. It seams to cutting out or idling rough. I switched out the bottom end of motor with a motor out of a 97 dodge. I did put a new crank and bearings in the new motor and a high volume oil pump. The new motor came complete, intake on down to the oiil pan, but I only used the block, head, and the componet inside them. Any thoughts on the rough idling? The check engine comes on and then it will shut off. Thanks for the inquire.
