i have a 2001 chevy malibu rs and i was driving it yesterday and it worked fine. i went outside a few hours later and it wouldnt start and nothing i did got it to start. it would turn over each time just wouldnt start up. a few hours later i went back and it started right up any idea what it could be.

maybe g m pass key security. work the locks, clean the key,lube the ing. sw.contact cleaner, let key in ing. ten minutes, for brain activate .undo one bat. cable 10 sec. reinstall. just some of the hoops to jump for security bull scrap on pass key

well i figured out it was the theft system on the car. sometimes when i get out of the car and lock the doors it beeps like there is an alarm on it but i dont have a beeper so i cant disable it. i dont know how to fix this i have just seen some posts online about how to disable it anyone know how to fix problem?

communication between key chip,lock cylinder,and module under dash.must not be broken or it thinks a wrong key or theft. will bring a light on to warn of break ! that's why a clean lock cylinder is a must and looseness can break circuit. bypass can be made or purchased in the correct signal . .

I have a 2001 Malibu went to store came back out lights went out horn went out n wouldn't start was told it was fuel pump n still didn't work do u no of any possible things it could be right now sitting in front of my house and I don't have the money to have it towed or any thing need help
