Hard shifting into 2nd gear, no reverse or overdrive.

Have to achieve 22 mph to shift into 2nd gear, it will not shift into overdrive on the highway and I have no reverse.

sounds like the trans is on the way out

Manual or automatic? If it's manual, the clutch master and slave cylinder are weak or out of fluid. If automatic. I'm with Andrew, SHOT!!
