How to keep it purrrrrrrfect!

As I have said I shopped and shopped some more for just the one I wanted after loosing mine to a flood, and for the most part it is pristine. And I am very serious about trying to keep it in as good condition as possible. It is from Mass. and it has some rust on the under body. I want to know if there is anything that can be done to inhibit the spread of it. I had an opinion that I wasn't happy with,(as in well, it won't rust anymore here in Florida)That is just not good enough because I know people keep cars in great condition forever! Or then again maybe  I'm wrong. It's not a lot of rust but also not as clean as I would like it, and it is only on the underside of the car. I would sooo much appreciate any helpful tipsbI can get. Also I want to put pictures out there for all to see as soon as I figure out how to download pictures from my digital camera. ( I'm not the "technical type) Anywat, once again any info. would be great! Thanks! :)

Unfortunately rust is just a natural Thing, Even if it was Garaged since Birth. I have a '93 Z28,and Mainly the Rear&Axel's rusted. Though not a cure, I would get it Undercoated to reduce the Damage. scott
