Rear popping sound when making turns

Asked by Widowed Feb 19, 2020 at 12:23 PM about the 2006 Honda CR-V SE AWD

Question type: General

I have a 2006 honda crv and notice when I slow
down to make a turn, it doesnt matter if it is right
or left, sometimes I hear a popping sound. It
sounds like it is coming from the rear. It doesnt
happen all the time. Is this something I need to
worry about? Info appreciated

Popping noises when turning slowly usually mean a worn CV axle. DO you have a torn boot? You would be able to tell if grease is all over the under side where the axle is. II would have it checked out ASAP. Soon the popping will be a bang and the vehicle will be disabled.
