What improvements should I look for in a Ford 6.0 diesel before purchasing or should I stay away completely?

Looking for truck to handle towing 14,000 lb fifth wheel.  (That's wet weight
by the way).  Need diesel, like Ford trucks but can't spend more than
$20,000.

Look up "bulletproofing a 6.0". That should be a good starting point for you.

Thanks, I looked it up and was amazed. One seller said his was bullet proofed. I asked how much he spend and did he have the paperwork. He said about $900 and no paperwork. Who doesn't keep the paperwork? AND, $900? I don't think so.
