Why is water leaking behind the motor of my 95 ford f 350 power stroke diesel

Water leaking behind the motor and now it
turns over but wont crank

cranking is turning over , if it doesn't start check for proper spark and fuel pressure , are the injectors firing ? The two problems may be unrelated . How bad is the leak ?
