Replaced pas win reg and swith-will go up, not down

window stuck on vehicle - cable spool was frozen.  installed new unit from ford,
switch also.  window will go up, but not down.  switch appears to switch polarity
on wires to motor

I solved my own problem. The master switch on the driver's side is not supplying a ground for the pas. window motor.
