F150 XLT 5.4 tail lights go on and. Off by themselves

I pulled switch out of dash board left Of steering wheel. Well It was  still out it
happened Again Lights on and off .

If the switch is out of the dash, and the lights are still on, there is probably a defective relay or there is a short circuit along the lines leading to the tail lights.
