Cigarette lighter in 2002 Chev Cavalier stopped working and fuse is ok. What else should I be checking?

2002 Chev Cavalier, cigarette lighter stopped working and the fuse is ok.  What else can I
check?  Relay?

I had that happened to me once because i plugged in something with too much voltage and it caused one of the wires connected to the back of the cigaratte lighter to melt of and so i just re connected the wire and it worked again
