Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I took the fuse box out under the dash to check the wires to see if they
were corroided because my wipers and windows do not work. When I put
everything back into the truck, the truck will not start. the starter will come
on and try to crank but it will not fire. I am not getting any spark with any
spark plugs and the fuel pump will not come on. the check engine light is
not on at the moment. What is wrong with this and could somebody help
me?

I had a 2002 that had the same problem. A Coil Pack and 10 minutes later it was all better. I also changed the plugs and wires right after I realized that was the fix.

Don't change anything unless you know it is bad. Resist the urge to throw parts at it. Use a fuel pressure gauge (about 20 bucks) and make sure the pump is working. Then you can purchase an HEI spark detector (about 15 bucks) and see if fire is getting to the plugs. Determine what the cause it first prior to purchasing parts.

I take it you tested the plug wires at the end to make sure current is flowing? If it is not, then check the resistance of each plug wire to see if they are within tolerances. Then move on to the coil and check it. Videos of the proper procedure can be obtained on the net.

If the vehicle was running prior to working in the fuse box, begin there. You may have disconnected something there.

Yea it was working before and ive had three diffrent people say that everything is connected right. Im taking it to the dealership tommorow to tell me what happened. I think what happened was when i took the box out, something must have shorted out the coil packs. I just dont wanna spend the 130 plus dollars on two coil packs and that not be the problem. Thanks yall

i figured out what it was. 190 dollars later the dealership bent a piece of metal back in the fuse box and it started right up thanks for everything
