My 1996 Ford F-150 will not start or make noise when turning the key.

Ford F-150 will not start or make noise when turning key. You can short out
solenoid and it will start.

May just need a new starter solenoid. Since power is to it but it is not going over to the starter wire. If not then check the key ignition and /or wires from it.
