my 2003 chevy impala keeps running hot i put in a new water pump in it keep getting hot,it seems the water returns back to the water tank

Check to see if your radiator fans are working. If not, you may need to replace the relay or fan. If the radiator fan comes on when you turn on the AC, but not when the engine gets hot, you could have a bad coolant temperature sensor. It also might be just a bad radiator cap that isn't holding pressure.

I have a 2011 Chevy Impala I change out the water pump and thermostat and it still overheats

Upper and lower manifold gaskets are bad about going out on the 3.8 engines if it's not water pump or the heater core elbows because they get old then I bet it's those I'm replacing them today
