What are P0106 and p2101 telling me?

Asked by Jbenit Feb 02, 2021 at 06:32 PM about the 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer LT 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Getting these codes after cleaning my throttle body. Do I
need to purchase a new map sensor and throttle actuator
control or does the computer just need to reset? If reset,
how do I go about doing so? Been driving for about a week
now and codes still come up.

Make sure there are no vacuum leaks. Check the seating of the airbox, the curly pcv hose on the resonator near cylinders 1 and 2, and flex hose from air box to throttle body. You can reset the computer, remove fuses #10 and #28 under hood for a while. This will reset the PCM. 2101, I'd check the wiring to the throttle body, and fan clutch.

Thanks boss, that solved that. How do I reset the change oil light? The hitting the gas 3 times trick didn't work.

If you're doing it fast, it won't reset. Slowly press the gas 3 times. Some guys with DIC, can use the steering wheel controls to reset. But the method you stated is in the owners manual.
