Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2004 chevy cavalier, automatic, it has been driving fine until today.  I went to back out and it was fine, but will not go in any other gear.  I had to put on the parking brake as it will not stay parked.  After turning it off I can not get it to start.  I have a brand new battery but the engine makes no sound or no attempt to start.
