how does the neutral safety switch come off. I have the bolt off and the nut but it still want come off. do I have to pry it off or what?

I changed mine today on the side of the road. After the bolt and nut are off, keep working at it, wiggling and pulling and it will come off. Road grime buildup and oxidation are what hold it in place. I also used a short flat blade to help add an extra axis to the wiggle. But here is a caution I wish I had read before the re installation. DO NOT torque the bolt even modestly. The torque required to remove the bolt is greater than required to reinstall it. This is due to the thread locker applied at the factory. Using too much torque to install the bolt will quickly strip the threads in the aluminum transmission housing. I fear I learned the hard way. it's holding for now though.
