1996 Toyota T100 SR5 Standard Base Theft Deterrent System?

Asked by Taylor Feb 09, 2019 at 02:01 PM about the 1996 Toyota T100 2 Dr SR5 Extended Cab SB

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Recently bought a 1996 Toyota T100.  On the windows there are stickers that
say Theft Deterrent Protected.  They're Toyota Factory stickers.  There is an
LED to the left side of the steering wheel.  There is a very tiny toggle switch
under the steering column and under the cabin fuse box with two white and
black leads and a female connector, but the wires aren't attached to anything.
What gives?  Did they disarm this factory alarm and why? And when I bought
the truck I was given a regular key, and the dealership says I can get keyless
entry.  Any help would be appreciated

You should have a key fob that arm and disarms the anti theft put on by factory,I had mine taken off by the Toyota dealership 200 $ but a little black box controlled it I'm calling it a key fob, mine wasn't the sr5 model so it didn't have electric door locks or anything that's the only thing that black box controlled
