how does car gurus determine value is it just cars on its site or???

...just like carfax, we're interested in the VIN, odometer reading, year and condition. no mystery here, nationwide determinations, not for YOUR buggy, found this out when we paid 15.000 with 33.000 miles on it CarGurus says it's worth only 10,500....yay, take a three thousand dollar loss (according to those guys). You really shouldn't give credence to numbers, it is how the car makes you feel....one cannot put a price on this.
